Currant Clove from Stur

'Currant Clove' – Blackcurrant and Apple Cocktail

Cloves are destined for much more than mulled wine and curries... they also pair very well with English summer fruits such as blackcurrants and apples, giving a uniquely warm edge. Cloves are aromatic flower buds, giving your cocktail a unique flavour like no other. Surprise your friends with this unusual combination to stimulate their senses! This cocktail is also a great one for kids, without the rum of course!

Currant Clove

Ingredients (serves 4):

  • 10 dried cloves
  • 100ml boiling water
  • 900ml cold water
  • 6 servings (9.6ml) of Stur 'Boldly blackcurrant apple flavour'

Method:
1. Pour 100ml of boiling water over the dried cloves and set to one side to brew and cool down.
2. Mix the water, 6 servings of Stur blackcurrant and apple flavour, rum and ice and pour into 2 large sharing glasses.
3. Once the clove infused water has cooled (approx. 10 minutes), sieve the brewed water and pour into your cocktails, discarding the cloves.
